  • GreenTec, an investor in African start-ups and SMEs with a focus on combining social and environmental impact with financial success, has made an investment into Nigeria's Save N Flex, an innovative employee benefits platform. The funds will be used to develop the platform as the cornerstone of a sustainable ecosystem with additional features such as employee recognition programmes as well as communication tools. The platform currently offers subscribers discounts on a range of key services including airtime, fuel, utilities, electronics and financing.
  • Amethis an investment fund manager focused on the African continent, has acquired an equity stake in VLH. VLH is the hospitality subsidiary of Rogers Group, a listed company on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.
  • Vitol the global energy trader and Mozambique's state oil firm ENH have formed a joint venture based in Singapore called ENH Energy Trading. The JV will focus on liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and condensate.
  • Niche Confectionery, a subsidiary of Niche Cocoa Ltd Ghana, has signed a $8,82 million financing agreement with The Netherlands Development Finance Company. The funds will be used by the chocolate manufacturer to support expansion of its cocoa processing capabilities and so upscale its contribution in the value chain producing consumer products which incorporate high-end refining and marketing .
